okay, so...weekend.
i had fun with my friends at my cabin, but i was so damn grouchy for most of it, because all i wanted to do for most of the time was sit in front of a fan. it was TOO DAMN HOT. i have issues with hot weather, obviously... i am a person that prefers the cold.
and being stuck inside of a house with many other people in it and no AC and having allergies bombard you until you're miserable doesn't make it any better, either.

but oh well.
we ended up seeing two movies this weekend, because there's not a lot you can do in that kind of heat. saw x-men 3 and the davinci code.

x-men 3 made me cry. not happy tears, mind you.
i was just...heartbroken at how badly the new director ruined this movie. no amount of cool special effects could make up for the jaggedy plot line and the two things that ruin a movie (random sex scenes and bringing back characters from the dead). sighsighsigh. it made me so sad. i loved the two first movies to pieces and i was so happy that the second movie was so good.
however, since this movie hinted at yet another sequel, i don't think i will be going to that, oh no. the ending was ridiculous, by the way... peaceful, calm moment of observation then BAM! credits.

umm... the davinci code was okay. because everyone keeps freaking asking--no, i have not read the book. i wouldn't see this movie again, even if it was for free, though.
i guess i'm the only one who finds mystery-type movies mildly entertaining, because no one else i went to the movie with liked it. the characters were...bad, though. you really don't get a sense of morality and personality when they keep changing sides. there was also a lack of explanation and clarity to explain some things and relationships that were automatically assumed valid in the film, but i guess you can't do everything.
maybe it helped that i didn't read the book beforehand... but even then, i go into movies that are based off books i have read with an open mind, knowing that no matter how good the writers and actors and directors are, the movie will never be the same as the book, because books are meant to be enjoyed in a readable format.

blah. it also didn't help that the movie theatre was old and stuffy, and then there was this obnoxious old jackass behind us that decided to answer his GODDAMN CELL PHONE in the middle of the movie.

and i have about a billion mosquito bites. -wiggleitch-

in all, it was fun. i've had better times with my friends, i think, when i'm not being such a ms. whiny-pants. but it was a good way to issue my cabin off on its madien voyage to another family. it's gone on the 26th of june to another owner, so i don't think i'll personally be able to get up there again before then (especially if i have a job), let alone with my friends.

so now! i am sleepy. i spent my whole afternoon playing we <3 katamari though. yes, it finally came. <33
time to do laundry and unpack and get ready for the second-to-last-week of school and then sleep maybe.
