feeling: cheery
so i have not updated this thing in a while.
pretty much because not much has been going on.
i got a real fat paycheck today (a bit over $400) and i have a lot left over from my other paycheck, so i purchased my ipod video. it is black and amazing and i hope it gets here soon. <3
now to go accessory shopping! if anyone has a good recommendation for an fm transmitter that is no more than like, $30 or something, do tell.
i am also debating picking up dirge of cerebus because omg, vincent. ffvii. love.
but it is $50 and because i am a cheapass, i generally don't like paying anything more than $20 for a game. however, i think i can spare it, because i have money just pouring out my ass at the moment. i really don't know what to do with a lot of it, besides like...save it. for christmas presents or something. i guess i could start preordering gifts for birthdays coming up/christmas stuff, seeing as i'm already figuring out what to get a few people.
but eh!
in other news, i got my new huge mattress in. my mother insisted that i get a queen size so she could use it when i move out for college next year (whoo). but holy shit, it's massive. it takes up half of my wee room. and it's a rather...strange feeling to be sleeping in such a large bed when i have been on twins my whole life.
but hey, i get to spread out and stuff. i could sleep sideways if i damn well wanted to. XD
now to get a rug for what's left of my floor (a little awkward chunk in front of my door about 7.5'x5'), get my shelves back up...somewhere, get new blinds (the ones i have are...ugly XD), and get my dad to wallmount that stereo i got for christmas that he still hasn't done. :<
and then my room for the next lessthanayear will be compleeeete.
and it smells like something funky and industrial in the office. we FINALLY got our granite countertops in (it only took them three weeks of "oh, we'll be there!" and not showing up). now it smells like the glue they used to adhere the slabs to the top of the halfwalls in which i sit in front of, so i'm going to be smelling it all day. and probably have one hell of a headache when i get home.
uhh... i have been drawing. like crazy. i don't think i've ever been more productive, really.
after upgrading my sketchbook to a new big size (11x14, whereas i am used to 5.5x8.5), i now have the ability to 1) doodle really big because i am slowly getting used to that, 2) create whole doodle sheets! and 3) use that $30 brushpen effectively. that thing doesn't like drawing small so much because of the wee tip it has. you also don't get any texture at a small size.
but with the big paper, it is wonderful. <3
yeah and... blah.
so this is what my summer has really been about. work every other day, come home, draw stuff, play video games, sleep, see friends sometimes, spend money, lather, rinse, repeat.
it's kinda repetative, like how it gets when i'm in school. oh well. i can't complain too much, besides the fact like i feel i should be doing something more...exciting with my time away from school.
i guess the whole senioritis thing is hitting me even before school starts, wah. :<
