i...i hugged my hairdresser, guys.

pardon my ego for a brief moment, but I LOOK AMAZING.

so this morning, i was as NERVOUS AS SHIT when walking into this place in uptown (it's right next to the really good ragstock and i totally did not know that). it was mostly because i couldn't see myself with anything but the dumbass bob cuts i got when i was a kid, so i didn't know how this would turn out, at all.

my hairdresser was this really nice asian woman in her thirties. and when i saw her own hairstyle, i immediately felt a little more comfortable, because she had a really modern-type style with a lot of similarities that i wanted to see in mine.
anyway, though i was scheduled for just foils for some highlights, i asked about getting a full color and because she is the most awesomest person ever, she fit it in. so we picked out this fabulously red color. it's somewhere between dark auburn and copper, as it is kinda dark in that piccur up there. in the end, it will lighten up a bit, but it's not orangey so my face won't look y'know, more deathly pale than it already is. :B

and then the cuuuuutt. since i had the worst time finding anything remotely similar to what i was sorta thinking of via pictures, i just kinda had to tell her. wanted more bangs, hair down the sides to frame my face, have it all long enough so i can still pull it back into stumpy pigtails or something, and go fluffy and with a bit of a flip in back.

and VOILA! amazing. communication with the lady was seamless.

and now...i look forward to shorter showers. though the time i save under the water will be now spent styling, because i never did that before. XD however, it seems like a really managable style. a few more added products and a blowdryer, but it will all take me like ten minutes to dry and do.

AAAAGH, guys, iamsohappy. this, coupled with the joy of having sent something to a friend and it finally getting there (damn post always LIES TO ME D:) plus having this crazy burst of inspiration to do this thing i am going to go back to working on here, i am feeling pretty damn good.
